Tribulation

A recent discussion with the wisest man in my life, my father, brought us to a recent show of Glenn Beck where he was discussing the dying dollar. In his show one of his talking points was domestication and increasing our food supplies now.

Now Im sure he was covering a broad spectrum of What ifs. Anything from the rising cost of food prices to food shortages, to complete collapse of government, which is possible given the rising debt. Think about it, if Congress does not raise the debt ceiling then our government WILL have to shut down. If they do raise it then we go on spending and destroying our triple A credit rating anyways, and eventually countries stop backing us. Essentially we become a third world country and as Glenn stated we become a nation of hunger.

Now a lot of left headed people think that this is fear mongering. They claim Glenn drives the "Fearful Crazy Ship". The libs think that Conservatives are buying everything he says as gospel, and further preaching the panic. Not True at all, We all see it without Glenn telling us. The things Glenn is saying are for the thick headed, because it is wise to be prepared in case it happens. Hes warning you Zombies. I suggest you wrap your Rainbow loving mind around the fact that things are only a stones throw away from the collapse of our freedom, and our way of life. As futile as it is to think that we may talk you into being prepared, it is still a christian duty that Conservatives feel obligated to do.

So as my father and mines conversation went we started talking about the price of gold and how much it has risen (roughly $1430 per ounce) and was wondering what would be the best thing to invest in now. Golds too expensive to buy with paper money, you would be losing the value of your greenback if the bottom ever fell out of the gold rate. So our second guess was silver, cheaper and it tends to hold its value even though it is worth much less. After consideration we came to this conclusion. If money is totally devalued and we are all left holding worthless metals like gold or silver who would trade a months worth of food for the useless metal you thought would maintain your savings. My idea or solution was Guns and Ammo. Invest in protection and hunting materials, Fishing poles, Seeds for gardens, Mason Jars, lids, and rings, and BOOKS, this is as important as food.

That brought us to Tribulation talks. The End of Civilization as we know it. The type of times where families bond together in mini societies, where they come together like settlers did in the beginning of our country. Divide out the weapons, garden, Can foods, protect the homestead from invaders, learn to live without electricity, learn to catch what you want to eat. Set up a network with neighbors to trade and barter. Self teach our children in hopes that they may pick back up the pieces and carefully put them back together. The talk went on and I couldnt possibly begin to remember everything we talked about. We even went through stages of planning it. which direction from my dads farm would be most vulnerable to raiders, and which spots would be strategic in the defense of the farm. The talk was exciting but quite scary to say the least. It was scary to me because the strong father I have always relied on to guide me in life was now in fear of his own future. It is probably the first time we have ever showed fear together. It was not a mounting fear it was more of a certain fear. The fact that we had to be having that conversation at all was the most alarming of all. Never in my life did I think that I would see the beginning of the end. It all seemed to sound so far away in the bible verses we use to discuss in Sunday school.

So am I driving fear? I hope so! People tend to react when scared. I hope it forces anyone that reads this blog to change their lifestyle in a manner that better suits them for a catastrophic event. I hope that it causes people to open their eyes and realize that it is so much easier to fix the problem now, than it will once we have lost everything. Some things we may not be as close to as I stated above, but I implore you all to have that kind of talk with your friends, your family and other loved ones. When the impending doom comes, Will you be ready?
